- Quick Walling: Use Palisades to wall your base quickly in Dark and Feudal Age. Even incomplete walls slow down attacks.
- Resource Protection: Wall around woodlines and gold mines to protect villagers from scout rushes.
- Emergency Defense: Quick-wall villagers when attacked by placing a Palisade between them and the attacker.
- Delay Tactics: When being raided, wall behind your main wall to create multiple layers. Each layer buys more time.
Warning: Palisades fall quickly to Men-at-Arms and siege. Never assume they will hold for long against a determined attack.
