Battle Elephant

Massive cavalry unit available to South and Southeast Asian civilizations. Extremely tough with high HP but slow speed makes it vulnerable to hit-and-run tactics.

Tactical Briefing

The Battle Elephant is a walking fortress. With 250 HP and bonus damage vs buildings, it crushes anything in melee range. However, its slow speed (0.9) means monks can convert it easily and Halberdiers can surround it. Always support with ranged units to protect from conversions. Classes: Cavalry, Elephant, War Elephant.

Strategic Analysis

The Battle Elephant is a **siege breaker** and **front-line tank**. It excels at pushing into enemy bases and absorbing massive amounts of damage while your other units deal damage.

  • Base Breaking: Use your +7 bonus vs buildings to demolish Town Centers, Castles, and production buildings. A group of Battle Elephants can flatten a base in seconds.
  • Meatshield Supreme: With 250 HP and armor, position elephants in front of your archers. They absorb arrows and melee attacks while your damage dealers work.
  • Monk Awareness: Always scout for monasteries. A single conversion turns your expensive elephant against you. Bring Light Cavalry to snipe monks or use Heresy.

Warning: **Monks** are your nightmare - they convert slow units easily. **Halberdiers** deal massive bonus damage. **Heavy Scorpions** with their anti-elephant bonus shred you at range.
