+8 vs Fire Ships means 19 total damage per hit. Fast Fire Ships (130 HP) die in 7 hits. Your 8 MA means they barely damage you in return.

Fleet Vanguard

Lead your fleet with War Hulks. They absorb Demolition Ships, tank Fire Ships, and force enemies to engage your ranged ships at a disadvantage.

Closing Speed

1.25 speed is faster than most warships. You can catch retreating Fire Ships and close on Galleons trying to kite.

General Naval Damage

+6 vs Ships makes War Hulks effective against all naval units, not just Fire Ships. They trade well against anything in melee range.

Critical Point
