Strategic Analysis

The Archery Range is your gateway to ranged military power. Archers provide unmatched harassment potential and are the backbone of many powerful strategies.

  • Archer Rush (Flush): Build an Archery Range immediately upon reaching Feudal Age. Produce Archers continuously while adding a second Range. 6-8 Archers can devastate an unprotected economy.
  • Skirmisher Defense: If your opponent is massing archers, produce Skirmishers as a cost-effective counter. They deal bonus damage to archers and only cost food and wood.
  • Crossbow Power Spike: Upon reaching Castle Age, immediately research Crossbowman. The upgrade provides a massive power spike that can win games if timed correctly.
  • Cavalry Archer Mobility: In Castle Age, Cavalry Archers offer superior mobility. They require heavy investment but are extremely powerful in hit-and-run tactics.

Warning: Archers without Ballistics in Castle Age will miss moving targets consistently. Research it as soon as you can afford it.
